Under powered? the sub is wired down to 1 ohm @ 600 rms and the amp puts out 1000 rms @ 1 ohm?

hifonic 1000 watt = 600 rockford XD
dont quote me but unless you have upgraded alternator and battery you wont hurt it a bit.
turn all settings to zero no loud bass boost ect. turn knob to 35-37 if deck goes to fifty, set gain till it clips then move it back. done
can get you a p3 here in same box 100$ <3

I had a RFFG P2 12" sub with a 500 watt amp (RFFG) + bass controller ported box and it hit like a mofo. That should do fine.
