I drive a 2003 Toyota Corolla.. so I don't need 15's or anything that is going to sound overboard.

I currently have 2x 10's.. the brand is SDX, got from pepboys (lol). I'm pretty sure they are like 1000 watts, and it came with an amp.

I also have a 60 watt Dual Headunit.. and stock door speakers.

It sounds pretty good most of the time, but some songs sound horrible.

The bass is fine by me, but what do I need to do to improve sound quality?

Is it the headunit? Do I need something other than the stock door speakers? Should I buy a better amp? All of the above? lol.

Thanks for help in advance.

Corey right? We used to play D2 back in the day.. haha

I'd be willing to spend anywhere from 100-1000 on equipment.

I'm not sure what size door speakers or how many I would need.

And would it matter if I had a better amp and still the same subs?

i should be able to get you a good setup pretty easy with that budget.

looks like 2 6.5 inch and 2 6x9 inch speakers.

nah the subs are junk and the amp is junk theres nothing useful out of it.

I listen to rap\hip-hop\r&b.. wayne, drake, wiz, cudi, etc.

So pretty much I need a new head unit, subs\amp, and door speakers.

I think 10-12's would suffice, and I kind of want a flip-out screen headunit but I don't think it would be worth it since it's difficult to take out once I buy another car. I should probaly just wait until I know i'm going to have the car for a long time to do that.

k probably gonna go with 12s but i'll see where the budget takes me before i decide on how many. your subs right now are blah so even a single good quality will shit all over them multiple times lol.

Yeah I wouldn't mind spending the money on good subs, cause they are easy to transport to another car.

The headunit and door speakers are a pain though -_-
