Just got a Chrysler 300c and noticed the previous owner had a sub and amp installed as all the wiring was there, my brother had his nice old set sitting in his garage and let me have them, i installed everything properly ( I think) and it works fine, but when i turn the key off a large BOOOM comes from my Sub or whenever i unlock the trunk with my remote, this has never happened with my brother and im wondering if this is common or if theres a fix?

are you saying the amp ground is ran to the same spot as the battery ground?

Amp ground should be 3 feet or less.

Ground to the chassis of the car. Sand the paint thoroughly off the area where you will attach the ground. Be sure your ground AND power wire are a large enough gauge to accommodate your amplifier.
