Anyone ever build a custom enclosure for a 92-97 Trans Am with t-tops and t-top rack? You have some room on the driver side, there is a shelf that does nothing. Of course I know there are custom fit-to-car boxes for 500 and up, just wondering if anyone ever designed their own to squeeze in there?

typically i've seem them in the "trunk" or behind the back seat, not really in the side panel

Well as you can see from picture 1 there is a t top rack that I would still like to have functionality from. I don't want to be that guy with his t tops laying in his backseat just because i want some bass. Probably best to buy the prefab JL unit tho...

chop the useless plastic off and then it can just be a plain ol square and you can make it easy.

No it's injection molded fiberglass, so it's not just a box with some trim. If it were squared up there'd be like .35 cu ft of airspace...maybe.

eh you said woodshop skills not my fault! lol. but ya these specialized things can be such a hassle
