I'm still looking for a prefab box and I'm wondering which of these boxes would be better for the buy.
My subs recommend a 1.25 cubic feet per chamber.
Like I have stated before, I could care less about a custom box because this is just a little system I can put in my car and be happy.
I would just like to know which box you guys would pick if you were to choose between these two. Please keep your comments of "oh these are both terribad get a custom box" to yourself.

the Absolute from sonic. absolute is a big enough company they market subs/speakers/amps/wiring kits ect.

I've worked at a Best Buy Geek Squad Auto Tech, Circuit City Firedog 'Professional Mobile Installer', and I've worked as a Cat Toys Installation Professional (I love all the different labels :P)
Believe it or not, Circuit City was the best shop lead I ever had, with the most knowledge and care put into his work than the other shops I have worked for.
It's not the stores reputation that determines the craftsmanship of a mans work.. I don't like it when people judge because of the business :/ But I do understand why people would.
The sales floor people know nothing, that's for sure. Never ask to talk to a sales floor rep, ALWAYS ask for an available installer who has time to help you. You will get the best results and smoothest transaction this way.
Also, do some research on google, it's very easy, make sure you know what needs to be done to your vehicle so you don't come in for any surprises.
I used to have to deal with the rudest customers when they would come in and find out I have to rewire their speakers because of their factory amplifier, then try to call me a liar and a scam..

OP, 1/2 MDF if affordable enough, and if you have the tools available to you.. make your own. There's easy to use box design calculators available, do work.
