either ear buds or over ear headphones

hard to explain how these will be used, but will be used in the car (not to listen to music)

the best in-ears I've heard are the Bose ie2
they suit me perfectly too because I work out with them and they have NEVER gave me any troubles. I simply tuck the cord under my shirt and this fucker never pops out.
sound is phenomenal too. perfect amount of bass for a small in-ear

Any earbuds but skull candy will provide you with the quality and durability you need. I wear earbuds 40 hours a week at work and I go through them like water. So far Sony has been the best brand I've bought

any sony i've used is shit sorry to say, i have a pair of skull candy headphones, i use them every day, and when i'm not they are wrapped around an ipod, no matter how much i use them the cable and speakers don't have a problem

e) brother has a pair of bose over the ear headphones, and he used them to the point where he gets a new pair every 6 months, and even he agreed

yeah I don't like the bose over ears at all. they're very flat with next to 0 bass even when you change the EQ to bass booster on your iPod.

if you're gonna get over year there are much better ones like sennheisers, koss, beats studios aren't bad, and klipsche.

I like my bose ie2 and I've had it since Christmas and it's not in bad condition at all.

but if you don't wanna go the bose route go look into the Klipsche S4's. those are beast also. reason why I chose the ie2 was because they're more practical for my everyday life of working out, watching movies, and listening to music with.
