this is an iso thread hehe.

right now. i have shitty speakers, (factory default) they rattle when the get high, so i assume they are all probs blown.
i have a garbage 200w stereo in it.
and thats it. and i dont really know what im doing ither so.

i have been looking at the Alpine Type R's but only because i keep seeing them mentioned and seen alot of good things on youtube.
however, i have relatively small budget to start with, however this will be a process.i think i would like to start with getting a sub/box. it will go in my trunk most likely.
for now. i dont really want to spend more than like 300 on the sub/box. and i will need to purchase an amp before that right? but the question is, whats a good brand of speakers that will go good with a decent sub.

i listen to alot of metal and Rap/Dub sub would be mainly for the rap/dub obv. let me know what yall think and ill try to anwser questions towards me as they arise.

1: What is the Year, Make, and Model of the vehicle. 2000 grand am pontiac
2: What is your budget? maybe 600-700 total
3: What exactly do you want your outcome to be? (Good sounding music, or loud bass?) loud bass but good quaility at lower levels but still hard hitting
4: And specific sub sizes that you prefer more than others? doesnt really matter to me
5: How much trunk space do you want to use up? what ever
6: What type of features are you looking for in a CD Player (aka Head Unit)? (Ex: USB, AUX, BlueTooth, etc) basics
7: What type of music do you listen to? metal /rap and dubstep
8: Is your stock stereo system amplified? (You may or may not know this) idk but prolly not
9: Do you have Steering Wheel Controls? (Volume/Seek on the steering wheel) no

best thing is to start with your door speakers and head unit.

put in your vehicle make/model when you add the stereo to cart. you'll get free install gear for it.

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_13218_The-InstallBay-AK4.html a few dolllars out of budget if you add this but you can get the wiring installed for when you get to installing a subwoofer.
