figured i might as well make a build thread

ill eventually be running two fi btl n2 15's. But at the momment ill be running one 15" btl n2 at 2 ohms on an aq3500 until i got the cash for another.

basic assembly pics





After gluing screwing and getting most of it i fiber glassed the interior of the box and then i added a horizontal dowel brace which isnt pictured.

heres a quick test fit of the box into my trunk



amp rack for the aq3500 the bottom is hollowed out so the fans can circulate air and enable it to run cooler.



box basically finished with a parrot in the port, I will carpet it



I wont be using terminals ill be doing direct leads

Once my btl arrives next week ill get some more pics of it in the trunk. x.x

haha thanks, ya i cut out the rear cats and am just running straight pipes. My neighbors love it LOL

Dont buy retard brand 0 gauge

From left to right:

Why don't I see braces? I hope your box can withstand those! Nice build btw. and good elbow port. Hope you have the calculations correct. Post a video of the results when you get them in. What are you tuning them to?

i have a 1" dowel brace going horizontally i just didnt have it in the pics ill post one below. The box is tuned to 32 hz 7.5^3 that tuning is with 2 btls so with the single itll be around 31 ish without the displacement of the second sub.





Also my 30' of zero gauge just arrived from knu konceptz it was delicious. Still haven't decided if i want to crimp the ring terminals on or solder them.

I will also be redoing my big 3 upgrade from 4 gauge to 0 gauge


Also Fi just pisses me off, they sent me a UPS notification with my order info and everything with a scheduled delivery date on it of Aug 18, turns out that date means nothing and that message means all they did was PRINT a Ups sticker for my order. And apparently itll take another 2 weeks, ive been waiting 3 so far. Very lame.....

Very nice, glad to see braces. Did you just ask if you should soulder or crimp... .Ummmmm if you won't have the subs for a bit, and want to be pro, SOLDER. Not even a question. :) I think anything above 8awg should be soldered. Just my opinion...
