I have some extra money and this is what I'm going to do with it.

Since I sold my car and still have a suspended license, I figured I'd build something for my tv/computer/ipod in my bedroom/living room in my apartment.

Now, here's the product list.

8" RF P1 (2x)
6.5" RF T1 Coax
RF R150-2
RF R250-1 (Bass knob included)
Kenwood KDC-x395
AD/DC Converter (non computer power supply)

Now, the deck, bass knob, and a kill switch will be mounted in a shallow box just to hold it all. There will be an amp board mounted on top of that with both amplifiers.

The subs/speakers will be in a small tower, a tower that can sit on top of my desk. Each tower has 1 8" Sub and 1 6.5" coax.

The R250-1 will run the small 8" subs, while the R150-2 will run the Coax's.

Here's what it will look like. Of course the deck/amps/knob/switch will be off to the side, not under the computer.





Only tough thing will be tuning the boxes, especially the 8" Sub boxes being that they will be ported.

I had car subs and amps hooked up to my computer a while back, sounded good and was really loud. Didn't use a car HU tho, used a normal home theater reciever and used the sub preamp out to go to the amp. I used a computer psu to power my amp tho but I had a cap and it did fine, never dropped below 12.0 volts

Thats cool, you could run some speakers off deck power if you needed too. If your gonna be using it alot for home theater or watching movies i would tune lower on the boxes. Don't forget to keep the subs in a corner where they are loudest.
