i bought a car that had obviously had it's aftermarket stereo stolen.
all that i can see inside is a bunch of a wires with duct tapes on the tips, the antenna, etc.
there is no vehicle wiring harness

i have another aftermarket radio i want to install. it comes with a harness that plugs into the back of the radio and ends with another harness that plugs into the vehicle harness, i suppose. but the harness isn't there. just a bunch of messy wires.
what do I do??

Probably someone before you didn't want to spend the 7 bucks for the harness lol. It's going to be a bitch to figure out whats what.

I did this with my '01 Cavilier because the harness I needed was $200.
I was too dumb at the time to see if there was a cheap harness that would just not give me the door chimes, so I learned how to hard wire the hard way.

No pun intended. But anyway, just find the corresponding wire diagram and hard wire it.

Sounds about right @ the $200 part. If you had onstar the part is GMOS01 costing about 159.95, if no onstar its a GMRC01 which costs like 129.95.
