I currently have a Kenwood KIV-BT900 head unit with Rockford Fosgate Punch P1462 on my dash and Rockford Fosgate P1692 in the rear

i'm trying to decide if
i just buy a mono-block amp or i should buy a four channel amp and a mono-block amp
in which if i do either go with

Rockford Fosgate PRIME R300-4
and
Rockford Fosgate PRIME R500-1

or

Kenwood Kac-8405 720-Watt 4/3/2-Channel Amp
and
Kenwood Kac-8105D 1000-Watt Amp

or

just run my speakers off my headunit, and just get the subwoofer/amp(either mono-block amp listed above)/box now

i'm going to be getting a P3D4-12

Get the new PBR300X1. You can hide it almost anywhere.

Since you already have the rockford speakers id stick with rockford brand. The 500w sub amp is a perfect match for some dvc rockford subs. I'd get 2 12's (r2d2's I think) and try for .5 ohms, if your only getting one sub check the specs to make sure it will pull at least a 4 ohm load from the amp.

and as for the speakers, it probably depends on where you bought them, google is showing some Rockford Fosgate Punch P1462 speakers are 35w and some are 140w.. same deal with the P1692's if they're the lower watt speakers then you definately don't need a amp for them.. hopefully they won't crackle or make unwanted noises when cranked up with the head pushing 50w at em

would be nice to cut most of the bass out of my speakers though, trying to make it where they only do most of the mid/highs
