I bought a new truck recently, Ford Ranger Cab and 1/2 and I want to replace the stock speakers with some aftermarket ones i have that I bought for my old vehicle, which I got rid of.
Any tips on taking off door panels and shit without breaking anything? Lol, I've never really had any experience with car audio and taking shit apart. My old vehicle was an old Jimmy and the panels all just snapped on and off with the exception of some screws. This vehicle is newer and seems a little more difficult to take apart haha. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

i suggest your go buy the haynes manual for the make/model/year

it will tell u how to take everything apart without breaking your clips and shit

grab a physical book for your truck at autozone or w/e your local parts store is. its too useful not to merit buying it.

Thanks guys, I did however get one of the rear door panels off no problem and installed the one speaker correctly. Going to finish this when I have some more time off work and it's relevant to my schedule. Although I think I may pick one of those books up because I do still have my deck and sub/amp to go in after I get the other three speakers in. I had all of my shit hooked up for me in my last vehicle (Deck, speakers, amp, subs) by my dads buddy. But I would much like to try it myself this time. So I will pick one of those manuals up for sure. Thanks again.

just check every corner for a screw or a cover over a screw, all you should need is a flat head screw driver and a normal 4 way screw driver, once you got all the screws out it should pop right off, at least all the ones I have seen do.

Well my cab and 1/2 has 4 doors and the back 2 are just like the half doors, not full sized. and its all clips holding them on aside from the bolts from the seatbelt.

amp installation is essential going to involve the wires themselves+drill+removing cosmetic trim in cab. its pretty easy aside from finding a good place to run your power wire through the firewall.

make sure to use a bolt and bare metal on your ground wire when you bolt it to the cab.

idk how complicated the head unit is going to be since idk rangers lol.
