So I'm guessing you use WAV's on CD's right? because IPODS and anyhting that runs MP3 is completely inferior and makes audio sound like hell and makes you lose low end, high end and TL numbers right? This is getting retardedly redundant as I NEVER ONCE stated that there was NO quality loss did I? I stated that it's NOT AUDIBLE and it DOESNT effect SCORES and it doesnt effect your frequency the fact that I'm still arguing about it is retarded.
you do lose frequencies though and it can very much affect scores if you are tuned to a frequency that was removed when the mp3 was compressed. in spl this is completely situational but can happen.
in sq competition its far more harmful since depending on the compression ratio you can lose a huge amount of the original song which makes it sound worse and hurts you. anyone who runs mp3 in sq comps is only hurting themselves.
so for spl its not as bad(depends entirely on codec being reasonable) and for SQ its pretty harmful.
again this is all opinion aside and simply the way it works. whether you personally can't tell the difference doesn't change anything about it.
