Here is a video of my new subwoofer.
I still need to try to find time to get my build log made..
I'm probably pushing 650-700w to it constantly.

What gauge wiring kit will be sufficient for the amp? i'm new to this obviously

8g will be enough but i would suggest running 4gauge in case you decide to upgrade your door speakers or add another amp later on.

The box will entirely depend on the kind of music you listen to and the type of sub you will be using. Some subs are not intended to be on sealed boxes and viceversa

Hotdog's right, you need to know what you want before we can tell you what to get.
Ported boxes (if built properly) produce much better lows and are great for rap.
Sealed boxes are tighter and sound great with rock.

But keep in mind that a ported box MUST be built properly to be worth a shit.

I think my sealed box was built to heavy... it weights like 200 pounds with the subs in it rofl

Yeah you're right, my prefab sealed was perfect specs for my Kenwoods so I didn't even have to worry 'bout any of that
I love my new Skar sooooo much tho! When it hits the lows it just rumbles the car, it's so hot!
