Personally from me experience Type R's sound a hell of a lot better than any Rockfords I've ever heard m8t... The Polks are a good choice though can't say I've heard many JL 6.5's though.

That is completely untrue. I've had Alpine Type R speakers and sold them weeks after I installed them. They sounded muffled. My friend had some in his Integra as well and they sounded the same. I then upgraded to the JL's which sounded a little bit better, but even the Punch series from Rockford sounded better.

I've heard MANY type r door speaker setups as that's the norm around here and imo even non-amped they impress me... Rockford on the other hand I've NEVER heard them make anything quality worth the price.

Go to one of the dealers in Greater Portland area and hear their demos. You cant base the company off of what you saw at Best Buy.

I know that the place by the Maine Mall that sells Rockford has a punch series demo and it sounds fantastic, and its all running off of about 500rms (speakers and subs) in 4 ohm stereo.

So wait you're basing your opinion off Walmart and Best Buy floor displays? dude I've installed a ton of Rockford and Type R's it's like my two most popular brands lol next to Kicker ofc. The Type R's make the Rockfords sound shitty in comparison idk what you're smoking.

No, I'm basing it off of systems I've put together. I'm saying that theres a shop near the Maine Mall (not Best Buy) that sells Rockford that has a Punch display that sounds fantastic.

Maybe you should learn to read, it'll help you not look like an ass as often.

Maybe you should learn about product and how to set it up because Rockford mids are garbage for the most part lol... and I'd also NEVER trust a display unit from a random shop that was probably not set up right.
