Birch+fiber glass seal is the only way to go... if your box is store boughten/made set it on fire and rebuild.

You'll get at least a 25%+ better sound quality out of a solid box if its made properly.

Well I was wanting to start learning more about shit but I don't know where to start so I was hoping to find a dummies guide somewhere lul.

There is a ton of shit you can learn, but to be honest. Audio is very simple to understand and put in correct.

Just make sure all of your components of the system match up and you will be fine.

Just dont be like 99% of people, but 2 10" xploders and run them at 3000 watts rms

Stay away from JL Amps.
Too expensive for what you're getting.
