when was I under 14v? lmao for like 1 second in the whole video it dipped below 14v by .2 what dont you understand? I ride my car daily like this what dont you understand? I idle 10+ minutes full tilt like this what dont you understand? you seem to be mad that I proved you wrong.

also since when is dipping .2 below 14v bad? my amplifier does RATED @ 13.8v lmao jesus do you need alink to the website that sells the amp? I know people that have 10,000$ systems that dip below 13v all the time and never fry anything on amps rated @ 14.4v

that has got to be the most retarded argument i have ever seen.

honestly...you should probably start wearing a helmet and arm floats when you eat if you can't understand how incredibly retarded that statement was.

Well this has certainly been interesting to watch.

If any of you actually care I did most of the research myself. Was to annoying to listen to both of you argue.

http://www.alpine-usa.com/product/view/sps-510 <--- Front Speakers
And a Custom box that is already ordered.

Grand Total with me doing installations is 1,550

The car needs a big 3 upgrade and I am going to Cap it. Alt runs about 75 Amps and the amp with only be using 40 amps while running and 60 - 65 while idling. All I have to do is rev it a couple times if I am sitting in one spot.
Worse comes to worse another battery will work. Just hook it up in the trunk. Wiring is not that hard.

I decided going without rear speakers because TBH, I'm not going to hear them as much as I will the front speakers, and the subs are probably going to mask them anyways. If later I decide that I want some well I can install them pretty easy.

The amp is either going to be mounted on the back of my back seats. Or, if I can fit it under my passenger seat. I'm hoping that's where it can go. The subs are going to be bolted down to 2x plates with the subs pointed to the roof of the car.

Hopefully you guys like, dunno if you will but it is what I have decided to go with. It looks good. It sounds good in store (Even though that doesn't compare to what it will sound like in my car). I wish I could have gotten it for cheaper but the cost of importing things from US to Canada, just started to become too pricey. Almost felt like it was going to more then what I would pay here.

ya import fees get annoying. i don't know the specifics of it but i was told by 5-6 canadian users it was cheaper to order and import. if you feel you got a fair deal after looking up stuff yourself then thats all that matters.

try to avoid adding a second battery. adding another one removes overall output from your alternator because it adds a static load just by being hooked up. if you experience voltage drops after doing big 3/getting a good main battery then the only real option is a higher output alternator since you are requiring more power than its producing.

use at least 10 gauge wire for the amp to subs if you mount it very far away. tbh its helpful even if you mount the amp close since larger gauge removes any bottlenecks in power flow.

you are also going to need to come to terms with the fact your subwoofers are going to overpower your mids and highs either way. you are pitting 1100rms watt subs against 28rms watt mids/highs.

and sorry...he does this shit every time he comes in here. his own evidence doesn't even back his claims and yet he continues to argue.

LOL kid calls me retarded because he cant take simple facts into account and rationalize and realize hes wrong always gotta be right oh well. When a reputable company such as DC even says no need for alternator upgrade ive uploaded videos with proof showing 14v steady.

just done with this moron cant get anymore dense. kid probably doesnt even have a system in his car probably never has lmfao jus a nerd tryna be cool. IVe shown much evidence while uve provided none sorry your 4 banger with a 60a couldnt run your lanzar 1500w amplifier without smoking ur crappy kickers.

I wouldnt listen to subwoofer he doesnt even have a system never has and continues to say stupid shit and be an ass to people he has no idea or clue about car audio just trying to be cool. If you want a reputable site to learn from sign up on Caraudio.com where people like me will give you facts and real life testing instead of opinion just for the hell of it. Anyone who knows anything about car audio will tell you what ive said.

ive ran 1200rms on a stock alternator 90a and stock batt no big 3 no problem all day long i can prove it i have tons and tons of videos of my setups and builds while subwoofer has nothing honestly if he knew more than me i wouldnt care but his idiocy annoys me.

i'm sorry you think ohm's law is an opinion and don't know why voltage drop happens.

Its simple fact that you can run 1200 watt rms on 90A alternator on a 14.4 Voltage .
I guess subwoofers just tell him not to since the alternator will go on overload x9000 and voltage drops tils the battery dies.
+ it wont give any extra load to the battery.
Big 3 will just help the flow and decrease the voltage drops in the long run it wont help you run more watt rms than the alternator can handle without draining the battery.

Subwoofer tells how to safely install the stuff and clearly knows how to even if he doesn't have a system  You just ask for problem if you run them like you :P
