the point is its simply worse. there is no reason to condone it unless someone absolutely has zero choice or they have high end amp.

lol how is what you just said any different then what I said before you start mocking me? are you that slow...? also theres more reasons than what you listed to run 2 ohm for instance I run it to make my speakers louder to keep up with the bass and since I noticed no difference from 4 - 2 I gained more than I lost.

Crying over 10% THD loss IF THAT is pretty moot and imo pointless people want the most out of their system they don't care about a tiny SQ loss that will never be heard. Theres a reason 4 channel support 2 ohm and theres a reason many people use it. What happens when you run 8 speakers? you get 2 4 channels? No, you wire them down to 2 ohms and a TON of huge installs includling semi-SQ installs use 2 ohms.

Anyways TC if you have no choice or you're running atleast a mid-range 4 channel 2 ohm is completely viable and fine. IF not though go 4 ohms for that extra clarity if you're an audiophile.

The difference is barely noticable if at all... Honestly using a shitty 4 channel or headunit is going to be worse SQ than going 2 ohms. I run my shit @ 2 ohms and noticed no difference going from 4 to 2.

A true SQ setup would be ran at 4 ohms, even on the subwoofers. Dont even argue. You know its true, stop telling kids to cut corners.

Nobody on this site has a "true" SQ setup or ever had one or probably has even heard one... You seem to think you know what "true" SQ is I'm willing to bet you NOR him can hear a difference between 4 and 2 ohms. and Yes I do know it's true I'm not arguing nor did I argue it and I don't tell kids to cut corners if all he can run is a 2ohm load then he's fine and he won't notice any difference, stop telling kids they will when you have no clue.

and you're only half right my friend because a good amplifier @ 2 ohm is as efficient and clean as a bad amplifier or mid-range one @ 4 ohms. That AP1500.1D you had well... that @ 4 ohms = my amplifier @ 1 ohm fyi. and that Crunch man probably put out one hell of a dirty signal @ 4 ohms with low efficiency.

So you're telling me your SETUP was NOT SQ after all? nor was it SPL? so what the hell was your setup? SQL? heh hardly.

Go on CA and ask which ohm load is best for a SQ setup, then come back to me. I'm just stating that 4 ohms will get you better overall quality than any other ohm load. Which is why most SQ setups are ran in 4 ohm stereo.

Ok everyone knows that... That wasn't the argument period, you decided to come in and try to sound intelligent. I never ONCE said 4 ohm wasn't superior, I said if you can't do 4 ohms then 2 ohms is fine and you won't notice a difference and in some applications 2 ohms is required. I don't need to ask CA because they will say the same thing lol.

Then what was the argument? That's what I had originally stated then you jumped on my dick. Now you're just agreeing with me.

You make no sense man, did you even get a High School education?

Tbh most of the high end sq setups i see are only run at 4 ohm when they are non-driven show cars with thousands into them and the thd loss is slightly less when at 4ohm.

However like stated before the thd on higher end amps that can handle loads better is so low that its nearly impossible for the human ear to notice a 4 to 2 ohm drop.

We are talking about electrical resistance here, not high end/ low end speakers, just the resistance the electrical paths get while in travel.

So that being said, I see no reason to run 2 ohm if, 1) don't need the extra wattage to power multiple speakers, 2) don't have a nice amp that can handle it [just because its cheap doesn't mean anything, look at the internals to really understand)
