also to add to this the blue wire is a remote turn on wire for the aftermarket amplifier.

you'll also want to look into a parking brake bypass if you want to use the dvd/video functions while the car is driving. keep in mind this is pretty much illegal but the chances of it getting checked or the police officer even knowing this is slim to none.

ez way to bypass is to just ground it straight to the head unit

not a universal thing. some head units require a relay in the bypass while others can be a straight ground.

i think some gps nav units even tied in the gps so it can tell you did a bypass because it knows when the car is moving.

easier just to google your specific model instead of going with trial and error since different companies and deck generations have dealt with this issue differently.

I've always wondered, what if you ARE somehow caught with a video bypass in the car??? What is the fine, etc?

i think the biggest factor is how the officer feels that day. it could be just a faulty vehicle ticket or it could be wreckless driving. so many damn laws for the same things lol.

New Chryslers = Expensive Harnesses.

Spend all of that FG on a proper non-cheap harness, ???, profit.

You wouldnt get fined nearly as much as if a shop had put it in. They'd get bent.

Also, it can effect insurance. It can null quite a bit of "who's fault" situations.

the red is the 12v constant

the illumination wire isn't necessary. just tape it up because its not for illuminating the head unit.
