Ha, that reminds me of 2 years ago at Spring break nationals, we had a guy with like 60 something speakers(loud tweets/mids/highs/12 or so subs) in a lifted truck of some kind that had a stripper pole on top with a bunch of bitches riding it
At like 8pm - 10pm we were partying out by the truck (along with 200 other people) right in front of the hilton until 10pm stuck, and exactly at that time a cop walked up to the truck and snagged the keys right out and... pop no more music lol.

I would have killed the cop lol. I try to stay clear of cops and state troopers, iv had wayyyy too many close calls with them!

crossovers are on their way

dropping to 2ohms usually doesnt affect the speaker itself in anyway, its just the resistance from the power going to the amp, which allows more power the speaker, which makes it slightly better quality+loudness

If you want the best sound quality, 4 ohms is what you want.

The difference is barely noticable if at all... Honestly using a shitty 4 channel or headunit is going to be worse SQ than going 2 ohms. I run my shit @ 2 ohms and noticed no difference going from 4 to 2.

to be fair your amp and speakers are both low end. thats like saying well i went around that corner just fine in my car to a guy trying to make a 90 degree turn at 200mph.

Amplfiier is low end speakers are not and if i noticed no difference on a low-end amplifier they will not that was my point... and no that comparison is NOT at all the same. Theres like a max of 10% Distortion difference from 4-2 ohms if that even less on high-end amplifiers it more relies on power/clipping.

You also forget I've ran a lot more 4 channels than this XPLOD...

its exactly the same. you tried to argue a factual statement with personal experience on low end stuff.

what speakers because last i remember you ran some $40 pioneers coaxials.

I said I used to run $40 Coaxials and then I bought better ones with built in crossovers. and I never said it wasn't true I said it's not noticable the difference is barely there like I said it's more reliant on clipping/clean power. Why do you guys act like elitists on this type of stuff when you clearly don't know.

like i said you tried to use personal experience using a low end amp to argue a blatant fact. you shouldn't of bothered talking because it was a ridiculously useless comment.

What's useless is saying 4 ohms = better SQ with no explanation... What I said was @ 2 ohms the difference is not audible and used a comparison, which means if his only option is 2 ohms or if he needs more power that 2 ohms provides then go 2 ohms because you're not missing much, I don't see how that's not helpful? lmao.

and I wish I knew what you were talking about because I never argued any fact, I never once said " 2 ohms is better than 4 because I noticed no differenc eon my XPLOD." I said audibly there is no difference so dont' worry about it too much. The point was that if you run a low end amplifier and you clip it yeah it's sound like shit but high end amplifiers have as good of quality @ 2ohms as most low end amplifier @ 4ohms.

you seem to forget I had a $400 4 channel before this xplod and that I already have an MBQuart 1000.4 Installed I don't run the Sony anymore lol.

the point is its simply worse. there is no reason to condone it unless someone absolutely has zero choice or they have high end amp.
