given what 1 sub did at 1k rms its only reasonable two subs do a few dB more at same power.

point remains you have to overpower them to get them there and atrs do that at normal settings. like i said atrs have the better potential for the price range. put 187s@$100 per and then it makes sense.

500 per sub and i hit 144 given you put 600 per atr like you were saying at "normal setting" the excursion difference (10%) less and the weaker motor and less sensitivity the 187 will hit a little harder not a whole lot but a bit harder with 100 less watts each. now given I pushed 500 each even though rated was 300 they NEVER got hot. I had those 2 atrs and with same amp they would get hot and you could smell the voice coils when I played the same lows that the 187 tore up.

which atrs? some older model? if so how does that even pertain to this model ATR?

no i had these subs like 6 months ago purchased new used the atrs for like 2 weeks and they were shit compared to the 187 so switched back to 187, just recently like a month ago i purchased my lethal injections. and now im about to buy a aq3500 and 4 sa-8

Then since you wouldnt have much left over, I'd get a P3L-2x12 (2x Rockford P3's in a premade Rockford box) with a P700-1bd.
