Anyone ever heard alpine type r components?

Yea my buddy has them, I dont really like them. His are even amped and they sound muffled.

I have nothing against alpine, I rock the subs..

I have been looking to get some 5 1/4 components for my front doors, and then getting conversion plates for my 6x9 slots in the back and putting 6.5 components there.

Rockford Punch series.
MB Quart makes some nice speakers too, for a somewhat cheap price.
If you get get ahold of some old Eclipse speakers, do it.

My step dad has kappas and they seem pretty nice, but what are the BEST sounding? I don't really care about the price.
