wonder of it would be worth it to extend the box to move my 6x9's from there boxes onto the sub box adding about 9 1/2 on each side

No, keep your 6x9's and subs seperate. and why would you put 6x9's in a box? better yet, buy conversion plates and convert your 6x9 spots in the back of your car to 6.5 components imo

Cause putting any speakers in a box will improve their perfomance immesly. I suppose this wouldn't apply to tweeters but I may be wrong..
I have wanted to put my 6.5s in boxes for a while but I don't have the room =[

i have two 6x9's in small boxes (like 8"wide and 12" long and like 4" deep) idk if they would sound better in the box or not, this is behind a truck seat if i haven't already said so

e) my old speakers back there were 3x12 stock's
thus i put in the 6x9's in like a year ago

Well, i have always used the front speakers for strictly the higher end mids and highs, everything else goes to the subs, i hate when its up loud and i see my door speakers hitting harder than the subs lol

Can someone hook me up with decent Kicker setup for a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee? 6.5's in the back doors and 6x9's in the front.

Also, does anybody know of a decent Audio guide for dummies? :evillol:

Looking to spend no more then $1000. LMK

Why don't you hook yourself up..?

Boxes are great. I actually have boxes for 6x9's lying around in my apartment somewhere. You dont have to use them, but I use speaker baffles. Cheap and work fine, plus you can put the speakers where you want them.

but would it look/sound better in a bigger box, compared to ones like these (http://www.amazon.com/Enterprises-p661A-Speaker-Enclosures-Pair/dp/B001DY9DAK/ref=sr_1_13?s=car&ie=UTF8&qid=1292359368&sr=1-13) except in 6x9's ofc
