unless you care about fade/balance you can just wire the speakers up whichever way you want.

each set of solid+stripe color is a set of speakers.

ex: solid purple+purple with black stripe is a positive and negative for one of the 4 speakers.

the black will be the ground

now the red and yellow you can do with trial and error. one is a switch 12 volt and one is a constant 12 volt. the constant is the memory wire and the switch is for turning the head unit on/off.

so if you get these backwards the head unit will stay on constantly..if you get it correctly it will turn on when the car gets turned on and turned off when the car is turned off.

once you get it working in general you can use the balance and fade to wire the speakers in the correct way. ex: fade to rear left and if the front right is what stays on then switch the wires around.

yeah i have a wire testing tool where i ground and aligator clamp and touch the other end to the end of the wire to find with once has power,

I found 1, the red wire on the on harness, but i cant find the other? even with the car running?
without that i doubt i can even turn the deck on

the switch one will only light up the test light only if the car is turned on. so if the car was off you wouldn't find the second one.

so just put the test light on one of the other free wires and turn the car on/off and the one that does that will be the other one.

Is this a salvaged or modded vehicle? You might wanna try getting universal adaptors. Walmart carries a ton of adaptors for every make and type. Usually that fixes the problem.
Match up the prongs and that big silver one goes into the back of the new stereo.

Contact these people: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/Help/HelpContact.aspx
They really helped me.

i have a feeling he left the stereo side of the wiring harness on the old head unit.

thats the only way i could see this not being blatantly obvious how it is supposed to hook up.

also to add to this the blue wire is a remote turn on wire for the aftermarket amplifier.

you'll also want to look into a parking brake bypass if you want to use the dvd/video functions while the car is driving. keep in mind this is pretty much illegal but the chances of it getting checked or the police officer even knowing this is slim to none.
