Let's put it this way then... (What Subwoofer is trying to say)

USB = Blu Ray
Aux = DVD

When you have this TV -
Blu Ray is obviously going to be better picture quality and sound than Aux...

...But, when you DON'T have an HD-TV, and have this TV -
they will both be the same, due too not having the correct equipment.

Now lets put it how it really is....

If you have an music player with a good DAC there is zero difference.. zero. nadda. My laptop's DAC is just as good as just about any DAC in any HU... therefore.. if i hook up my laptop via aux to my HU and play some flacs.. it will sound THE SAME as ANY usb connection...

Furthermore even with a shitty device hooked up via aux the OP is running a CASUAL setup so, even with some sort of disparity the significance is likely very minute to him so long as he gets to listen to what he wants, when he wants. He's just using the car to drive to fucking work and bring his friends to parties... not enter mother-fucking competitions.

Sorry if i came off as a dick in this post.. i just didn't really care to see this (re)explained when i understood it initially.. seriously, sorry.
