I'm hoping to own my own shop sometime in the future. I disagree with some of the things my boss has me do in regards to customers.

oh yeah i can feel you there, i do alot of side work for a couple shops and man o man, they really rape some of these
people and the quality of work is in the toilet. and when it come to repair or warranty, they really screw some people
over, i wont work for any local shop permanently, i like doing it as side work

The only local "shop" around here has been accepting meth as an alternative currency since I was fucking little, I'm 25.
I feel that that is a direct representation of the quality of his work. He goes by "Mr. Tint" because he does tint as well.

When I was 15 or so, my Dad had a system installed there. His alternator fried a month after the installation. Upon investigating
he found that he had mounted an 8g power wire under the fucking seat bracket and it had caused some major crimping. The first
job I've seen since was a couple months ago. The capacitor was mounted to the side wall of the trunk to a piece of 1/2" plywood,
bare as the day it came from Home Depot and the trunk looked like a bowl of spaghetti.

i would suggest look for another shop with in a 20 mile radius if you dont mind the drive..

i seen alot of good custom guys come and go cause of meth and other hard drugs,
its a shame to see some really good talent go down the drain.

Actually, thanks to this subforum and other research I've done I've been able to do everything on my own so far.
I already have car knowledge, just adding the audio knowledge. I did all of this myself:



All of the wires are covered with split loom now, I think it looks really nice.

Nice. But I don't like Kenwood at all. Very clean setup though!!!!

Yeah, next time around I'll save up for RF but it's my first setup and I only paid ~$80 a piece for these.

They're only powering a pair of ATR's after all.
