Question.
I've got a 1998 GMC Sierra Extended Cab 1500
I'm going to put my one sub in and my rockford amp ( the jack is on the other side under the back seat and i dont wanna take it out so one sub)
If I end up replacing the 6x9's in the doors and getting 2 or 4 mids and tweets with a 4 channel amp,

Question 1. Can I hook up 2x mids and tweets and 2x 6x9's to 1 4 channel amp?
Question 2. What's the best place to put 2 mids and 2 tweets in this type of truck?

Answere 1. Yes. Use two channels for the front speakers, and the other two channels for the back speakers. You don't need tweeters if you have 2 or 3-way speakers (the ones with tweeters built into them)
If you have component speakers then they should come with a little box that sends power to the tweeters from the mid-range speakers.. Like you see here: http://electronics.shop.eebay.com/Car-Speakers-Speaker-Systems-/14936/i.html?Size=6%252E5%2522&Brand=Clarion%7CKenwood%7CKicker%7CPioneer%7CRockford%2520Fosgate%7CSoundstream&rt=nc&Type=Component%2520System&_catref=1&_dmpt=Car_Speakers&_fln=1&_ssov=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m282

Answere 2. I would recommend finding out what size your stock speakers are (VIA crutchfield or sonicelectronix) and put your 2 mids there. They are probably in the doors in your truck.
I'm really not sure about the tweeters thought, I would guess that you would want them mounted onto the big plastic bar that is on either side of your windshield, and have them facing you.
Tweeters NEED to face the listener, otherwise they are pretty much useless if they are, for example, mouted facing straight up.

1) Yup. Hell, if you wanted to, you could hook 2 channels to your front speakers, and 2 channels to subs.
2) Kickpanels in the front are always a good option. Stock spots in the back since you have 6x9's. Plus, in trucks, the front is way more important than the back.

So then my question to you AGAIN. What is your budget? How much do you have to spend for everything? $200 for a sub really isnt that much and if thats "spending it all" then you should continue to save more money.
