Ok so im like 99% sure the issue is with my amp. It has been periodically turning off and not due to thermal protection. Then yesterday it shut off for good and anytime I turn the stereo on the amp comes on but then within a few secs goes into protection and shuts off. Now it wont play at all....

Im gonna diagnose it myself tonight.. If i verify all the wiring and everything for a 3rd time im gonna throw my MBquart 600watt amp in for now and if that works with no flaws then its 100% the amp and I will be shipping it back for warranty repair.

Such a PITA...

Don't use connection cups... Just buy 2 bolts drill a hole use washers and nuts and screw the terminals to the box.
Costs like $5 total and maybe 15 minutes of work and best connection ull ever have.

Makes sense and I will for sure do this if there is any more issues. For now they replaced it with another shitty connector box deal. The dumbass was actually trying to convince me that im running "so much power" that im heating the terminals up making them arc out and corrode the terminals until no power will pass through

So done with these airheads

that is kinda whats happening... but in all my box builds I dont use connector cups or anything I just drill holes and run the wires out from there I use 8 guage power wire for speaker wire though so I just run it through the hole and fill the rest of the gap around the wire with silicone

I guess I could see that happening if the connections came loose. I asked him and he said I should check the connections once a week for a bit to make sure they aren't loosening up.

Sounds awesome and no issues so far. If I have any issues im just gonna run the wire right through the box and seal it with silicone and call it a day..
