There was a shortage in my speaker. Can they be fixed or no goid

so ur subs must have been in series.
just wire the one down and you will be better off any ways.
wont be underpowering it and you wont have to buy a better amp to push two subs.
try it out, you will be suprised what that sub can do without a twin leeching all of its nourishment.

When I got both subs wired it don't work. When i got 1 it works. And every time I put the wire in the second 1 it cuts off as I gotta unplug it. But does that mean it or a shortage or blown

is it the speaker or isnt it? take them out look at the wiring.
if one went out and they are wired in a series internally your gonna have to rewire the good sub.
wire it in paralel and that should do it if it is the speaker

Sounds like what happens when you wire a sub that's in phase with a sub that's out of phase imo.

probly has a rouge piece of wire in his speaker terminals grounding out. i dunno probly something easy to fix just not very noticeable

There blown. Took them out and smells like something burning

Exactly what I said... Normally when speakers blow they short out and make all of the speakers cut in and out. What happens is when the coil shorts it causes the amplifier to not operate correctly so it cuts in and out, I'm surprised it didn't go into protect.
