That's what I am doing... I'm not throwing 2k watts at one sub lol. I have 2x 10's

Oh you have 2 10" Type R's? I mean 2k on 2 ATR's is a burp setup I honestly wouldn't put more than 1200 to a pair and that's still pushing it if you don't have a good amplifier/electrical.

If they peak at 1500 a piece, and I only have a 2000W amp, please tell me how they won't be able to take 1k a piece if they're rated at 1500 a piece?

Because peak is a theoretical factor in a perfect world... Unless you're running a big alternator/2-3 good batteries and holding 14.4v always with a good brand like DC or Sundown in a good box you're not doing 2k daily. Like I said they start to sound like shit after 600rms due to tinsel slap at 800 it's very noticeable and could break it or bottom it and @ 1000w its indefinite that you are going to blow them.

You don't need 2-3 batteries for 2k watts rofl. And my voltage never dropped below 14.2

Stop making claims based on shit you don't know bro... You're obviously a novice so why are we arguing? If you run 2k on stock electrical you're going to see some massive drop unless you have like a 150-200a stock alternator and a decent battery. I'm saying if you don';t have a good amplifier and you need 14.4v to achieve Rated then those Alpines will blow if that 2k starts to clip from drop also how are you setting your gains? are you buying a prefab box?

Shit I don't know? you're the one claiming subs that peak at 1500 can't even take 1000 watts without blowing. and I didn't say you could run 2k on stock electrical without drops, I just said you don't need 2-3 batteries. And I haven't ran 2000W yet, I'm still waiting on my amp as previously stated. Please pay attention, you're making yourself look ignorant.

Wait until you run 2k on your stocky and tell me you dont need batteries to maintain 14.4v... I bet you drop into the low 12's on 2k all day no problem. I have a big III, an efficient amplifier and a PC1500DT battery and I still drop into the low 13's, high 12's with my 90a alternator.

Then Ill buy a new battery and A new alt, not three new batteries  Iv ran 1k on my stock battery/alt with nothing but a 1 farad cap and never had any problems with lights dimming or anything.

Caps help regulate the power but cause more harm than good without a good alternator it makes your battery drain quicker. Depends on the size of the alternator and efficiency of the amplifier you can't guess what electrical upgrades you will need, sure with a really good alternator you might only need 1 really good battery but that's going to cost the same as 3 batteries and 1 decent alternator if not more.

Also unless you buy an alternator from:

Ohio Gens
Excessive Amperage
DC
Mechman

You're not going to run near amperage @ idle so you're going to need to be driving to play your system or giving it 1800+ rpms while idling.

Please tell me where I would put three batteries in my s10 if I'm already going to take my subs out to fix space issues I'm already having. And I use my bed because its a truck obviously.
