so after researching it a bit, I think it may because of my ground, I just drilled a screw in the bottom metal part of trunk under the lining without cleaning the paint or metal off. Could this be the cause of my probelm?

Could be but usually bad ground shit doesn't work. Can try it. What size power wire? Is ground same size wire?

Could be. I usually put it on the shocks bolt or a smaller bolt that's already on the trunk. If you use a a screw make sure it's got really fine thread so it won't come loose.

And like he said ground needs to be equal or bigger then the power.
Are you using bass boost?
If you are turn it all the way down and turn your gain back up
Could you post a pic of your settings on the Amp?

Power/ground both 4G

Scrubbed paint off of ground contact point so now has nice shiny contact, hasn't overheated since, also haven't been pushing them hard though.

Amp still overheating after redoing the ground and turning down fain any ideas?

Are your subs dual or single voice coil? What ohm are they?

Not sure I think it said 2 ohm enclosure.
The left subis hardly working at all I think that's the problem. just noticed it today...
Checked all the surface wiring on it and it's hooked to amp correctly.

When I turned balance all the way to left there was no bass from subs just the door speeaker.turned it to Right sounded fine

Take the subs out of the box and look and see what they say 2 ohm or 4 ohm. Single couil or dual.

Also your using a line out converter for the rca is why it does that with the balance

These are single 4 ohm wired to 2 in the enclosure.

@op you see the "hi level input" next to the rcas?
Instead of using a line input converter with your stock headunit you should be using that. Wired directly to your rear speakers.

Is there only one terminal on the box? If so to trouble shoot try taking the woofers out and individually connect them to the Amp.

If the sub isn't doing anything at all there's a possibility it's not blown and just a wiring problem
