Sub is blown.. took it our on lunch and underneath the voicecoil all the black wrapped string shit is frayed.

get you a volt meter and hook it up while its at full tilt.. if your volts drop below 12 its clipping.. mine never dips below 14... go to walmart and back where batteries and shit for cars are u can buy one that just gives u a readout of what your volts r doing.. wire it up and mount it on ur dash so u can always see it

Seems as probably what happened. Sigh. And I was planning on doing the big 3 this weekend. To help the stability of my electrical. Well time to go buy new sub. Youthink its OK to buy a new one and keep of with the other sub that still works?

yeah but on a brand new sub dont crank it all the way up.. subs need some break in time.. couple weeks at least of some mild bangin... once subs are broke in I would pair em back up

Yea. I broke these xfla in for like 15 hours before I turned amp up and played them loud
