liek the wire that goes to the rear light

are you positive you are hooking it to the right wire on the head unit? if for some reason its not working you can wire up a toggle switch if you want on/off control when the car is running or just hook it to a 12 volt switch wire that will turn the amp on when the car is on and off when the car is off.

seems like the wire was broken i replaced it by a new short piece seems like the amp is running now and turns on/off with the stereo

a question with speaker wire to the subwoofer

i guess it is stock input on most subs where you remove a cap on the +/- then place the cable in the hole at the bottom and back with cap on

question is do i just uncloth the speakerwire and put the copper in the hole or do i have put a shoe on the copper? (if its possible?) hope you understood it

you just put bare wire in it. try not to get too much extra bare wire sticking out jsut for the sake of safety.

hooked all in and subwoofer lays pretty decent gotta fix the gain abit more + the ground cable

when i play loud i can see the instruments start blinking so i start searching on google and most said it means the ground is bad.

did you sand off the paint for the ground wire?

yupp yupp and i fixed it on the new place (the place that holds the belt.)

what car is this installed in again?

also how many rms watts are you running total?

volvo 850 t5-r

2 amps

mono on 150rms (sub)
and 4 channel 4x70rms (4x 6.5)
and headunt is 4x50 (2x 3.5, 2x 5.25)

the alternator is on 100A and battery on 62A i think

head unit doesn't do anything once you start powering them off the 4 channel amp.

it's weird to be having power surging when you have a 100 amp alternator and only using 23 amps for the car audio.

do the big 3 upgrade because that about the only thing that could possibly be a problem right now...unless your alternator is about to fail lol.

i'd go ahead and use 1/0 gauge wire for this but you can use 4 gauge to. you'll need to replace these 3 wires: alternator to battery +, battery - to body ground, engine to body ground.

if its still having dimming issues after this then it's time to make your own grounding point. you'll have to drill a hole in your cars body and put a bolt+washer to use as a ground.

if its still dimming after that its time to get your alternator and battery checked.
