Those will fit in your car... Yeah $100 seems like a lot for a door speakers but I'd never spend under $100 a door speaker anyways....

Quality
Cheap

Pick one. Those Rockfords blow asshole.

I read your op and didnt see anything about speaker size what size do you need and what is your MAXIMUM budget even if you have to save an extra day or two.

you could of looked up sizes on quite a few sites just by knowing the car info he gave.

you could of also looked at the size of the speakers i suggested instead of just running your mouth about them.

yeah, been moving, i guess i can explain my issues a bit better.

my car is plenty loud with stock stereo/speakers.

when i turn up the bass (and i don't mean like gain, i mean like if i turn up the music and it's bassy) it gets muddy as fuck.

i want some clarity, started thinking i could take the bass out of the mids to keep the mud out, but it's probably not the problem.

so i'm thinking that new speakers all around would be a good idea.

i was under the impression that 3 way speakers are better for such uses, thus my apprehension to quickly jump on your suggestion.

then orc comes in here contributing absolutely nothing, and i cbf to deal with a bunch of people bickering about silly shit, obv i'm not taking his advice, but yeh.

as far as budget goes, i could spend up to a grand, but i don't want to. i just want my shit to sound better on a budget, i'm not looking to blow the house down, or spend a bunch of money on shit that doesn't really make much difference, but i do want the best value for my money, and i do want my "issue" resolved. i'm not a fan of buying something and then having to send it back because it's not what i needed.

so yeah, if this can be addressed, maybe with a little back though on selections or recomendations that would be nice, i would like to get the shit going, and i can do enough research to make a nice informed decision, but i don't really know that i want to commit to that when people that are more knowledgeable in car stereo could help me.
thi isn't a call for subs, so if that's all you know, i don't need the help. if you have read a forum to get your expertise, i don't need your help. if you are trying to get a number for my budget and spend as much as you can to get me the best stereo in that budget, i don't need your help. i will spend what i need to, to fix my problem.

thanks for looking. feel free to post here or pm me if you have any other questions.

Dude think what you want theres very few people who know their shit on this part of the forum I was being synical on purpose because you didn't list your speaker sizes and why should I go out of my way to research it? Point is if you want clarity it's all about the setup getting 3 ways and calling it a day isn't going to work.

Do you even have crossovers? Do you have a 4 channel? My suggestion is going for components if you want more mid-bass a lot of low-end coaxials are lack luster in that department which is why I recommend the 2-way c2's because they're the loudest cleanest coaxials I've ever heard for the price. You will spend just as much on crossover, tweeter, mid driver as you will on one solid coaxial.

I can recommend speakers all day but if you don't install them properly or have the means of doing it they will always sound lackluster. Another suggestion for good mid-bass is fiberglassing door pods or putting your speakers in their own box, ever ran a subwoofer free-air? yeah sounds like shit compared to one in a box same goes for door speakers.

Theres much you can do but apparently I don't know what I'm talking about because I didn't answer your question with my first response because you didn't give enough information, if you get those Rockfords you will run into the SAME problem you have now because they are low-end crappy drivers.

a head unit will play a big role in how the speakers sound. i really think my suggestion would fit your needs but we can explore other options like components if you want.

for example these would remove the tower and give you a full size midwoofer http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_19508_Rockford-Fosgate-Power-T1682.html

Hence why I said crossovers and a 4 channel would play a BIG roll a lot of his top end distortion is problem from having the deck up too high and causing clipping because it's not loud enough for his tastes. I honestly wouldn't ever complain about SQ and Loudness if I wasn't even running a 4 channel and decent set of coaxials. I've made 3-way $50 walmart Pioneers sound amazing because I had my crossovers/4channel set perfectly and I had the speakers imaged nice in an active setup.
