I mean to say ZX lol my bad... so much Kicker talk D: go with the FI Q you won't be upset but it's not going to take more than 1500w anyways so why does it matter? If that's the case get an AQ1200 since it will be easier on electrical and does rated @ 13v with minimal clipping. I bet you'll get somewhere in the ballpark of 1400w with a AQ1200.

IMO the ZX2500's are overpriced and 2 ohm does suck to run because it's so limited but imo it's the best efficiency and those amplifiers do quite a bit over-rated even after rise. I'm just wondering why u were shopping for 2000w+ amps when ur buying a 1500w subwoofer.

The 2200 clamped with the fluke did not drop below 14 volts on a burp, it also had dual 1 coils but they read out .4 each so it was actually wired between .3-.4 it was a high 2700 im sure of it. Also they changed the 2200 boards when they released the 3500d.1 and those tests were with the older amps.

I would like a link bro because the 5 clamped results I've looked at show the AQ doing about 2200-2400w @ 13v, also said that the amplifier DOES RATED @ 13v. So even @ 14v I don't see you getting more than 2400w. The Sundown 2500 only does about 2800-3000w @ 14v so you can see how I can't believe you since the Sundown is said to be a far better amplifier. If AQ put out that much power @ 14v then MORE people would be buying them and not bitching about the price of them.

The guy who said that his did about 2000w @ 13v with 1.6ohm rise I believe since he's clamped a TON of amplifiers and is known for doing a good job when he does it. I like AQ's bro they're a good amplifier and awesome for the price (even though it went up A LOT) they just aren't going to do 800w over RMS especially @ a 1.5 ohm rise heh. Maybe if you started @ .3 ohms and it went to 1 ohm I could possibly see it knocking slightly over 2600rms MAYBE.

but like I said until I see results of a clamp from someone reputable I'm going to have to call your claim false, anyone can claim something you need proof to back big claims.



Yeah man of course, but what's the point in spending an extra $100-200 for power you won't even use? unless you plan to get 2 of them. now if you run 2 SA-8's they're said to take 1000-1300w each if setup properly.

Well if that's your goal go for it, you didnt really disclose that information haha... All I can say is Amp vs Amp the ZX2500.1D eats up the AQ2200 both in price/performance, and that's coming from someone who hates kicker and never recommends them.

I see well I payed 400 for the amp and I'm about to get 475 for it.

What amps would you reccomend that are safely 1 ohm stable?

I used to run an Planet audio 3000.1 and it was actually a damn good amp imo.

PL compared to any of the mentioned brands is not nearly as good quality wise... They're sub-par high end equipment. Honestly... for SQ? If you're in the $500 range for something that sounds great does rated and is overall reliable look into Sundown SAZ-2000 or DC 2.0K, they're both in the $500 range and put out about 2500 @ .5 rising to 1 @ 13.6v so it will be better than an AQ and more reliable with better SQ.

IMO Go for a DC 2.0K it'll do about 2600w @ 14.4v which gives you plenty of head room and time to get your electrical established for that power. Also the DC is very efficient and clean sounding im not supposed to disclose prices but they're about $500 shipped. You'll get 2000-2200 @ 13v all day same as the AQ2200 but with way higher efficiency. Plus after shipping the AQ costs about the same.

Just my opinion of course I still think the ZX2500 is going to be better than both of them lol just run the single Fi @ 1500w 4 ohms and then get a second one and ran them @ 2 ohms it will be better in the long run and save you more money than the $75.

the SQ and reliability of these amplifiers are BAR NONE, lemme know what you decide and I can point your towards on authorized vendor.
