i'd hold off until you try it using the usb over aux. chances are it will be fine if you listen to rap/hiphop mostly. the thumb drive is still useful either way because then you don't have to keep your phone hooked to your head unit.

Looks like you were right, and it makes sense.

When i turned up the volume i could hear the speakers screaming higher hz ranges over each other causing chatter so to speak and making it unbearable to listen to.

Now my question is, Is the quality of usb connection the same as a CD?

You want your headunits preamp voltage to match your amps input sensitivity. If your amps input sensitivity is more than your headunit i would get a linedriver to get the full potential out of your amp. My nendo 5500's have a 6v input sensitivity but my hu only put out 4, i bought a line driver to boost to 6v and gained almost a db. I use a 64gb usb drive for all my music 100x cleaner than aux and cds dont skip from bass anymore.
