I would say you would be safe running a lower rms but you will need more than you have atm

well like i said, i have about 100$ tops to get me an amp, so when i go to put the speakers in i'm just gonna run to bestbuy and get myself an amp.
what are key things i need to look for? just like two channels at 100watts or more per channel?
and i take it the tweeters don't get plugged into the amp...

I would get two 6x9 infinity speakers with a stealth box. Get an amp and run that. Much more what you're looking for

people.... i do appreciate the input but as i said a few times now... i already ordered the polk audio db 6501 set, arrives on saturday.
all i need to know is if the brand for the amp matters, cause i'm just gonna run down to bestbuy and get something that has two channels with 100-300 watts per channel.
also, do tweeters need to be plugged into the amp?

the tweeter and the midrange will end up being 1 set of wires.

if all you have is $100 for the amp http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_25337_MB_Quart_REF450.aspx and a cheap wiring kit is about the only choice.

mkay so i will need a wiring kit, but can someone please tell me if the brand for amp matters?
and if the tweeter and mid range go together, does that mean that the wires get fused together? didn't know tweeters need so much power lol

yes amp brand matters just like any other product in the world.

the one i linked is probably going to be the closest to your price and what you need.

so the amp could blow my speakers or something if it's a bad brand?
i'm having a hard time understanding why, everything has reasons. i could tell you why cpu components need to have a higher brand, etc...
unfortunately i am a total noob in the automotive audio area

i just want to be able to properly power my speakers a their 100watt RMS as cheaply as i can lol
