Iv had my type r's for about two years, and the guy before me had them a while. He had them ran off a 1k amp everyday all day, and Ill try 2k when I get my amp finally

If I blow them with 2k then I blow them, can't argue for two years of good use out of them when I paid $80 for them and a box and an amp.

Sounds like a good deal but I don't buy used audio... and theres no if I'm 100% sure you'll blow them.

They weren't really used, guy had them in a car for a short period of time and removed them to do the same thing ill get rid of mine for, mounting a bottle.

Because they use 2.5" coils with insufficient cooling and coil gap plus the motor isn't that big and the Tinsels are unwoven and cheap. Chances are if it doesn't blow from heat which it will maybe not right away but it will, it will definatly blow from over-excursion in whatever box you throw it in and probably rip a spider/tinsel or bottom it out. 2k on an ATR is a burp setup anyone who runs nearly that daily is going to blow them soon.

at over 600-800rms you start to hear the Tinsel slapping the cone, try to give them each 1000w and see what happens.
