Lol
what do you guys think
shoud I sacrifice 250 watts on my 750 watt by buying this Stacking Mount for KICKER IX-Series Amplifiers
http://www.kicker.com/sites/default/files/bodyContentImage1_0.jpg

or should I stick with the zx750.1 + ix500.4 and not be as big of a "show off" :P

you would have to get a different sub if you get a smaller sub amp.

oh really? so subs can't be underpowered?
I think I'm just gonna get the zx + ix combo
performance > looks for me

And I guess this is what I need
PKD4 Dual Amplifer 4AWG 199.95

Really? wow I had no idea. Good to know!
what's the wattage margin that you could over power your sub? Just don't go over the "peak power"?

and the discount on the cables is much better. I'm an idiot and didn't print off the first part where it tells you the discount on that PKD4. But there's a x-series speaker wire 16awg 300 feet that's normally priced at 300 and I get it for 90.
so I think the PKD4 should be about 60-70 bucks

and then for RCA cable(s) I'm going with this
XI25 2-Channel, 5 meter 44.95
http://www.kicker.com/signal_cable
which is 8 bucks with my discount

Any ideas why the installer told me I need to get 3 RCA cables?
I thought I only need two since I have 2 amps?

you will only need 2 sets idk why he said 3.

overpowering isn't a good idea either matching rms is the best and safest way to go. subs can usually safely go around 50rms over without any real problems but more than that cuts down the subs life(this is for low power subs the higher rms sub you get the more extra power they can handle safely.)

wish my town had a best buy so i could get that discount its a lot more than i thought it would be lol.

meh
best buy isn't a "real" job if u know what I mean
It's only a good high school/college job lol
but yeah the discount is fantastic. the discount on a 82" Mitsubishi TV which retails for 5000 bucks is only 3000 for us (though there really isn't a point cuz they pay you shitty, I get paid 8 bucks an hour)

and I might even get the remote bass control for my sub amp and a 12" sub grill, it's only 9 bucks.
but I just asked the installer on facebook why I need 3 RCA's
hopefully I'll get a reply soon

i'd apply for installer job and work towards master certification probably.

i always assume amps come with the bass knobs but definitely grab one and the grill if you are going to be putting things around your subs. the knob helps a lot when you need quick control over your subs.

hah yeah installers get paid pretty well. they get paid 2x more than I do lol

but yeah I'll definitely need a grill then since I'm going to college in August
where do people usually mount the bass knob? can you do it on the box? don't think I've ever seen one in peoples trunk (might've not noticed it)

you run it with your sub wiring and mount it on the dash or console where you can easily use it. i've seen a few in peoples trunks but thats usually only the case if you use them a lot at outdoor events and stuff like that.
