this is probably a stupid question, but what is the difference between just speakers and a component system




i understand that you get the two other things, but i haven't dealt with crossovers

The crossover, filters out the signals so the tweeters wont receive any low notes and vice versa for the woofer.

worth spending like 60$ more? idk if i'd even use the tweeters to be honest

goes from 55$ up to 113$

e) and i've figured out what i want for my car setup >.> unless you guys say otherwise, almost 600$ for a radio/4x6 speakers/6.5 speakers/subwoofer boc

Absolutely, they are not only more efficient in terms of power but also way better sound quality than a regular coax, sure tweeters still have bass blockers but its just not the same.
Id only get them if ur gonna amp them tho. And id only put them on the front, components are not really needed for the rear imo. ofc this is based on personal preferences.

i'm thinking about for all i want~

Kenwood KIV700~250$

dual 10" subwoofer box
cant find one yet 50~150$

for my back (previously 6x9 slots)~55$ + 15$ adapters +shipping (5 dollars more, if i don't get the shallow mounts, idk if i need to or not yet not measured)


4x6 front speakers~60$ plus shipping

pretty good, but u should make the box urself to specs, or get a decent one specifically made for your subs.

i have a 1990 firebird, from what i saw boxes are pretty much all the same for them
and prolly at most 700
