Avoid... I work with a guy like that... He used to have 10 12's (btls) in his dodge.... Now has a boss amp and 2 Sony explode subs tho...lol!

But yea... He's a bullshit liar.... But gotta learn to ignore it...Or call em out and make it epic....

I always call him out...I remind him constantly what I do for a living and I try to get him to come get his system tested.

Of course now he only has a single Pioneer 12.

But theres no way 2x 12" Polk DXi's hit 160............

DXi's are like 300rms per...

...rofl

Buying a new car and want to know if I can hook my amp up to the stock speakers for a bit without them blowing until I upgrade them. It says it's only 540 watts which I didn't think was a lot but when I added it to my current car it makes everything rattle and made my old memphis speakers distort if I turned the volume up lol.

Getting an '08 honda accord coupe.

Thats pretty expensive. If you're willing to pay that much money on a 4 channel amp, get this:

You wont ever have to replace it.

Yes you can hook them up to your OEM speakers, yes they will blow eventually.

I recommend you get a new Head Unit before getting a 4 channel amplifier though.

I have had the amp for like 2 years now actually was just using that as a reference. Thanks, completely forgot about the headunit tbh lol. I'll just hold off on adding it in until I get the rest together then.

Yea, when you run power wire, run 4 gauge and then when you want to add a separate sub amp, just use a distributor block so you dont have to run another set of wires.

I actually get a slight alt whine and my headlights dim when the bass hits. Been ignoring it forever which isn't that smart but idc.

Start looking into 1 Farad caps.

Brands like Stinger, Rockford, Raptor, all make good 1 Farad's and are usually pretty cheap.

Yeah once I get the new car i'll add the cap. Same reason why I didn't bother sound deadening my current car since I knew I wouldn't be keeping it that long. :)

think it would be a better idea to buy front speakers or the box for my trunk, i already have the 12" and my front speakers kinda work (old sonys)

I've settled into the final hardware for my trunk, and am looking for some advice.
I'm running a 1,000 watt Kenwood mono block (300w RMS?) with line-out from the back speakers for signal to dual 12" ATR's in a ported box.

I'm looking to strike a nice balance between SQL and SPL. I've toyed with the amp a lot, sounds pretty good. Any suggestions on settings?

Edit : I'm going to take detailed pictures tomorrow of the subs/box, the wiring arrangement, and the settings on the amp.
