Any high end car audio company is much better than the mainstream stuff you're used to. Aka jl audio, alpine, pioneer etc. Jl audio isn't bad but it's nowhere near being close to the best. But only enthusiast know about/spend the kind of money to get high end audio.

No it will not. A 1000.4 Rockford amp is ~$1600. Thats just an amp for your speakers, thats not even touching the subs yet. Also, Rockford T2 subs are ~$750.

what are you talking about? If you've followed anything ive said about my new set up for my car you would know that I'm using a rf shallow mount 12" p3. 200$-300$? I'm keeping my jl c2 component front and rear and keeping my 4 channel amp.. I've already said that. I'm buying a new sub, making a new enclosure, and getting a new amp. I'm selling my 13w7 for 900$ and 100$ for the box that was built for it. Have the jl 1000w amp on craigslist for 850$. That 1 jl sub = my new setup.

Out of those mainstream brands I've listed, please tell me which is better than jl. Thank you.

And it depends what you call good. Certain companies are good for certain things.

Honestly, I think RE Audio/US Amps is better than JL by far.

RE XXX's are better than any sub JL has ever/will ever produce.
They're component sets sound amazing as well.
Hell, the RE 6.5" mids prolly hit harder than half of those brands you listed.

Dont think I dont like JL, I have JL C2's in my 95 LS.

I just listed them in the same category since it's just mainstream stuff which is nothing "high end" at all so it's not even close to being the best like you said. That's all. It's still good and I like jl and have had jl systems in the past.

how is that a rip off? Have you considered how much shipping is to deliver a 50+ pound sub to Alaska?

What's your deal? Does everything in this sub forum have to be flamed, put down, proved wrong? This is how it is. Their is a thing called PFD's in Alaska. Once a year, residents get a check from 900$-1,400$. Dividends are about to come out in 10 days. I put my equipment up in craistlist and I got slammed with emails and calls. I have a guy from out of town, meeting up with me for my amp tomorrow. I can sell it for that price because I can get that much in return. What, do you want me to reduce the price to 65%? Haha, no thanks.
