Thought you were talking about the LS1 subwoofer from Bose lmao.

Why would I need a 10 lbs nitrous bottle for a sub...?

Look at the video in my profile, eventually that motor will be in my truck ;)

Not sure yet, that will be the last thing I buy. I just put about $3000 into my truck so that ls1 is a while away.

so you admit that your bias of atrs is based on not facts but because you see a lot of car audio newbs that wouldn't know a good enclosure from a bad one?

My BIAS is off of forums, events and my own experience... That girl had a great setup and it got loud hit a 142 @ 38hz with a little less than 2k and her voltage never dropped but her boyfriend is a professional and did all of the work, I'm just saying 142 @ 1500w is hard enough but a 142 @ 1000w? not going to happen not even close even with expertise and a good box.

So why are you upping to 2k and shit if you're already content just seems overkill if you're happy.

Nope, I'm going to put a ls1 in my truck and when I do, Ill get a single 12, so I can mount a bottle behind my passenger seat.

i never said they would do 142@1000 i said they would be similar to an sa-12@1k. its obvious unfair considering the ATRs are underpowered in that situation.

i never even said a number until we started talking 1500rms.

That's my point if a single 12" is that much louder off of less power with less effort why recommend the ATR's and claim they are equal doesn't it seem better for an entry level user to use one subwoofer? and single SA-12" costs less than 2 ATR's How is it unfair if anything it's unfair to compare 1800w and 2 12's vs 1000w and 1 12. and you're the one who mentioned 1000w that's what we've been going off this whole time you started mentioning 1500w.

Point is:

2 x 12" ATRs = $240+ from random eeeeeebay company with half-assed warranty
1 x 12" SA-12 = $195 from authorized dealer with full warranty

2 x 12" ATR's + 1800w = 142-143 @ 35-38hz
1 x 12" SA + 1000w = 143-145 @ 35-38hz

and if you have an SUV or hatchback or trunk that can fit a 15" you can get the SA-15" which hits a full db or 2 higher than the SA-12 and costs the same as 2 ATR's.

Why buy the Type R's when the SA sounds better and gets louder for less?

i only mentioned 1000watt because it was to show you can get 2 atrs+an amp for the price difference.

you act like adding a second sub should add like 10db or something.

again you are comparing situations with many variables you aren't accounting for. stop trying to make your point by using single examples because ATRs can be found doing my numbers at almost any competition.

the price difference between an sa-12@1000rms and 2 ATRs@1500rms is about $20 on mb quart amps so stop pretending their is a huge price difference because its 500rms more. putting the SA-12 on the 1500 will get it a little more but they are still going to be fairly close but the sa-12@1500rms is a much bigger risk than 2 atrs@750 each.

How do I act like a second sub would add 10+ db? lmao... and i dont give a shit what YOU THINK avoid posted his scores and I've seen a capible aTR setup doing its scores 1800w on one atr setup to do a 142 and 2000w on the other and I've heard many other ATR setups and none are nearly as loud as mine is now or my friends single 15" setup.

and 500rms is a lot more lol you're crazy if you think otherwise and bro 2 atr's are lucky to do 1500-2k daily most these setups I've seen them in with 1500+ are burp setups the single 12" is much more able off 1500w than 2 ATR's by far. If I had to guess Avoid was actually running about 1500w clipped watts which becomes the equivalent of around 1600-1700rms I bet his subwoofers started to get warm and sloppy at that point.

Doing a 142 @ 1800-2000w for $240 and doing a 143-144 off 1000w @ lower tuning is a massive difference if you ask me almost twice the power and cone area and 1-2db less... Like I said the 15" SA is $235 with dealer warranty and will blow 2 ATR's out of the water and take more power.

Also fyi my boy runs a single SA-12 off a 2000w Optidrive @ .5 ohms with stock electrical dropping into the low 12's and never gets warm and hit a 145 with it @ 36hz. I also build this box too.

Look at the wipers and the flex that's a good setup and only a single 12". Funny thing is he had 2 Type R's before this single 12" and he said it's way louder and I agree lmao.

Case closed I've provided plenty of information and proof to back my statement if you want to continue arguing I recommend you do the same. You may have confused me on the Component thing and caught me in the wrong on the Ohm load but won't happen again I can promise that.
