I made a pretty difficult one for my first time which is why it was such a pain in the fucking ass

doing a simple square or something should be pretty easy though

and yes make sure it's at LEAST 1/2-3/4 inches thick of fiberglass

plenty of companies make better equipment than JL they definitely are not the best across the board

and JL is known for making speakers that are 15x more expensive for barely any more performance just so that can say the have the performance, the other companies could do that to but they are out to make money not be in a pissing contest so they don't

like what kicker or rockford? Alpine? Boston? Infinity? Jbl? Jvc? Kenwood? Mtx? Pioneer? Polk? Bose?

I don't think any of those are up to par with jl audio.

bang for your buck you would be hard pressed to find anything better than Rockford subs

and idk about specific specs on what is on the market these days I'm not a huge audio junky unless I'm working on a specific project at the time

JLs are nice, just not nice for how fucking expensive they are

they are the BMWs of audio imo

I am a big Rockford fan (these days). They have some innovative ideas that no other companies have done. I'm going to use them in my new vehicle. It's funny.. I'm selling my jl audio 13.5" w7 and it will fund my whole new setup. Heh.

I cant believe you're putting Alpine and Rockford in the same category as JVC and Pioneer....
