sigh. a couple things i'll point out.

knowing people does not reflect your own abilities. stop trying to name drop because it doesn't change anything.

you ran cheap pioneer speakers and claim to know all about sound quality but bash on others for using lower end stuff and say it proves they know nothing. see the hypocrisy?

and there is no way out of the fact you claimed your setup was high sound quality running cheap coaxials. its clear you don't know what sound quality actually means at this point but this is common with spl people.

Ok mr know it all lmao... couple things I'll point out, he backed up his claims with the fact that "he knew tons of people." so before you nut hug him some more maybe figure out why I say what I say first and not look like a blind moron. Second they may be cheap Pioneers but since I know a bit about setting up equipment I'm able to tune things to make them louder and take more clean power regardless of what you think. and what do you run Mr god of SQ? The clear fact that I'm buying 8 6.5" Crescendo Pro's this week is proof enough I know SQ so maybe you should stop blindly talking shit and nut hugging avoid.

Chances are you're running a garbage setup like him and know nobody so you sit on forums talking shit about what you read online. and FYI knowing people affects A LOT... what deals you get, what information and help they can provide as well as tips. The reason my boxes are so damn successful is because of the people I know, one of the reasons I get prices for what I do is because of the people I know, one of the reasons I'm able to test my equipment and push it as far as I can is because of the people I know, just because you don't know anybody doesnt mean it's not significant.

But what do I know I'm 3 time TNESPL Champion in my Class and 2 Classes above mine... Don't listen to the guy that has actually competed and designs/builds boxes and installs systems daily.

again what someone uses does not reflect their knowledge so stop trying to use it as a crutch.

explain in detail what makes those 6.5s superior to a comparable set and THEN we can see if you know how to get good sound quality. anyone can blindly buy something but knowing what make its good is the useful part.

if he was claiming knowing people reflects his abilities then the same goes for him. i don't remember him claiming that anywhere but i may have missed it. i'm not above correcting anyone for doing stuff like that because its a bogus claim.

and as you keep not answering a very easy question i'll ask it again. have you ever ran acoustic tracks? you can't determine SQ based on rap type music.

Actually what someone uses does affect their knowledge or atleast their credibility. Why am I going to listen to someone who reads shit online and then thinks they know everything then turns around and buys crappy overpriced equipment? Car Audio is 90% install and experience/testing and 10% information anybody can go online and read a few things. What makes these so special is they use Carbon Fiber Cones, Built in Crossovers that are better than the crap you buy or use on your amplifiers they also are very sensitive and high great range and never distort or get smelly when receiving double their rms from a shitty sony 4 channel. and if you read back a few pages Avoid says he knows tons of guys from USACI and all of maines loudest heavy hitters and works at these great shops etc. etc. doesn't matter to me because like you said it doesn't mean much but it means more than you think. and I don't listen to very acoustical music sometimes I listen to rock and once in awhile something soothing like Jazz or Classical (dont laugh.) and I think for crappy budget Pioneers they're better than most KS650's and as nice as some of Kickers higher end DS's not to say Kicker makes great speakers.

Also just because I'm running what I am now doesn't mean I think it's the SHIT. Like I stated MANY times I'm switching the Sony out and all 4 door speakers for much better sounding equipment that is more versatile for what I need. In the end I'm a daily ground pounder so SQ isn't my big thing, but I know enough about it to determine what's SQ and what is SPL. and anyone who cries so hard over me using an IPOD needs to get their priorities straight yeah if I was a straight SQ setup and I competed in SQ I'd probably run WAV's who wouldn't? that's not the argument. He said my numbers would change it would be a big audible change and it isn't for a fact regardless what you've read or think I think this argument is dumb as shit and I'd like it to be over but apparently people feel like nitpicking some more. I know none of you run WAV's and I know none of you know what "good" SQ is so why even bother acting like it? and it's not even the argument that was what got me heated it was avoid downplaying my system well wtf was he running? Get a clue broski.

Alpine: They are decent I suppose if you buy them online atleast they can be had for a decent price they can actually get pretty loud if you give them rated in a nice box but they don't take a single watt over-rated so imo not worth the money compared to some other brands.
JBL: They made great amplifiers back in the day and have a few higher end ones out now that are good but other than that nothing special.
MTX: Other than the Thunder 7500's and up they are junk and their amplifiers are overpriced.
JL: Decent SQ on some of their models but for the price better can be had.
AudioBahn: Junk.
Pioneer: Only good for Speakers and Headunits and in some cases 4 Channels although the Premier subwoofers are pretty nice for the price.
Orion: They make some great amplifiers and their HCCA subwoofers are incredible
Polk: Only good for door speakers if you want to spend some extra money not bad though.
Bose: I only use these in my home not recommended for any type of car audio unless it's stock.

If you want SQ go with DD, Daytons or SSA.
If you want SPL go with Fi, Sundown, AB, Hifonics, Soundstream, DC, AA etc.
If you want both, you need to learn a lot more about this shit.

Of course curtain brands have their SQ line though such as DC's Level 3's and Fi's Q series.

I have 2 18" xxx. Recommended amps for this?
I also have 2 quantum 15's. I have used them before. They pound hard
Lasted a long time powering them at 25% over the rated power.
then my brother thought it was alright to run bass high and throw in a bass knob.
Ended up blowing it.

First off you have 2 18" XXX's? By soundstream or RE? and what year model? If you really have XXX's then why bother with the Quantums since the XXX's will stop all over them haha also what model Quantums? I'm not a big fan but they're decently loud. If you tell me what models on both subs I can recommend an amplifier.

Those RE XXX's can take upwards of 5k each no problem... So to recommend an amplifier would like recommending spending a 2nd mortagage lmao... At any rate try the DC 12K or 2 Sundown 4k's for about $3,000 lol. That's the best of the best route though if just want some damn good power going to them and only want to spend around $800 get 2 Crescendo Audio 3.5k's they go for about $400+shipping new each and about 4k each @ 13.6v. Or you could spend 2 grand and get a Kicker Warhorse haha 10k @ 2 ohms. I swear though 5k each is about what they take, a good 3.5-4k each should kick some faces in.
