Would be a decent setup for you. Hifonics isn't the best but isn't bad at all for the price.. Buy a headunit from Walmart with a dash and wire harness and your set

i heard doing rear aftermarket speakers and amp them will make you loose almost all bass. and sound horrible if u dont install a new aftermarket sub.

some1 i just spoke to on the phone said i can just do front speakers like you said eddsoulja. cause rear aftermarket speakers would then sort of require me to add a sub woofer so i get some bass.

and that if i amplify only the front aftermarket speakers and just keep rear factory speakers then i wont really even hear the rear speakers. so i should just upgrade front speakers and not get a separate amplifier?

also he said the stereo is one of the most important parts, to make things sound good. that some stereos can have higher amplification and allow you to not buy a separate amp? because if u amp just the 2 front speakers then you wont even be able to hear the rear speakers if they rear are factory?

and that i wouldnt need sound deadener for the doors unless its a super high end system?

im definitely going to have a shop install these parts, cause i dont want to mess anything up, and they seem to want to charge on average around:

50 to 100 for front speakers, one place even said 200 for front speaker and front tweeters being separated.
amp runs around 85 to 100 bucks to install
rear speakers cost around 50 to 85 to install, because a 2 door you need to open up the seat and its tough to get to speakers that are facing upward
and the stereo would cost 50 to 100 bucks to install

thats around 300 bucks to install them, when the parts would cost around 450 bucks. so total of everything would be 750 to 800 bucks... fkin mad expensive.....

so can i just get a decent stereo, decent front component speakers and be done? no need amp or rear speakers? ugh this is confusing and difficult lol...

also edd what are those speaker rings for? the mount the speakers to the door because the speakers are larger than factory ones?
thank you for the help edd!

well i just now read about how component speakers are not designed for bass at all, only a specific range, and you will need a sub to produce any bass

or if i can find some full range speakers that can produce some bass?

whats cheapest way to sound decent?

so confusing.... too much info lol

ohms, watts, RMS, the connections, the types of speakers, the direction. so many variables....

well since im thinking about skipping on rear speakers, ill maybe spend more on front speakers and get these

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500SPS610C/Alpine-SPS-610C.html?tp=106

reviews say they have decent bass. i really dont need crazy bass, so i guess it should be fine, and they say the head units can power these well. i maybe will get an amp now, or might after i get these installed if i feel they are lacking power?

but these speakers and a head unit should be fine right?

this head unit is what im thinking of, should allow to upgrade to an amp for 4 speakers if i get an amp later and 2 more rear speakers

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158GT570UP/Sony-CDX-GT570UP.html?tp=5684

so as of now.... decision is to probably just buy that radio that would allow for future upgrades to a 4 channel amp and rear speakers later

but for now, i guess just those component speakers for the front that i posted in this post, and the radio i posted
maybe sound deadener too cause its cheap

these 2 or 3 items should be fine for a decent upgrade for now?

looking at around 150 bucks to install the radio and speakers. but ill try to install the radio myself to save around 50-65 bucks. should be simple enough to install radio? and then bring car to shop for component speakers to be installed?
so 205 for the speakers and radio
then total should be 355 to install and buy parts, or around 300 if i install radio myself

any comments or input is welcomed, thanks :)

also considering these 2 stereos.... i heard sony are bad brand stereo. also the sony i posted before only has 17 rms. these both have 20-22 rms, is this a decent difference?

bigger looks a bit nicer

this one has bluetooth

jvc brand - can change more colors lol, not that it matters much
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_105KWR910B/JVC-KW-R910BT.html?tp=5684

kenwood no bluetooth
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113DPX301U/Kenwood-DPX301U.html?tp=5684

also im lost.... just thought of the channels for the stereo.... so i guess i need 4 channels only?

but what if i wanted to get 1 subwoofer later on, to add to my 4 speakers? is the subwoofer only powered by an amplifier and does not need to be hooked up the stereo?

if a subwoofer is needed later on, should i get a 5 or 6 channel stereo now? or would the 4 channel stereo be fine for 4 speakers and a subwoofer? sort of lost on the number of channels needed in stereo?

thanks.......

ok thanks. u mean installing the sound deadener is easy? but the stereo id have to buy a soldering kit. and the component speakers tweeter placement seems confusing.

im in florida

ok thanks yea ive seen only one thing from crutchfield thats cheapers elsewhere. everything else from them seems around the same price elsewhere? i found speakers for like 70 bucks on amazon, instead of 130 at crutchfield, might do different speakers? the alpines i heard alot of reviews saying the tweets are too high and scratchy sounding

where else would i buy instead of crutchfield. and it seems crutchfield is good with showing whats compatible. to i first looked up some items at crutchfield then searched on other sites, but most things are the same price as they are at crutchfield.

possible rear speakers if i ever do get any, but these are component speakers... if i do get rear speakers, should i try to keep them the same exact model and brand as the front?

also im trying to find cheaper prices on other websites, but dont have any clue if these other parts will fit my car? like the stereo, and an amp? cause if these are all cheaper at other sites then maybe i can get 4 speakers, a stereo, and an amp?

130 at crutchfield but much cheaper on amazon
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113KFCP709/Kenwood-KFC-P709PS.html?tp=64033&l=Q&

cost 58 bucks on amazon
