just buy a single 500$ sub or 400$
and maybe get a battery to connect to the amp and get the big 3 and see if that helps also if you bought the amp that comes with the terminator you might wanna toss it and buy a 50$ 2000 w or 1000w from boss and use that as temporary then save up for like a 1500w amp by sundown and get an ssi or something and just get one giant sub

I just checked again after fix bad connect now I am getting steady 13+

They sound good now that they're tuned and shit, I'm probably just expecting too much out of a system I'm only into 200$. Also my amp went into protect mode and shutoff today, the gain was set too high I think, would that be why? Was after about 3 hours ofndriving.

How much of a difference is head unit gonna make?

After head unit should I replace stock speakers or focus on something else, it would suck to replace subs I just bought but I'm just doing this piece by piece to eventually have a system that bumps hard as fuck.

Also how to eliminate the shake on the hatch of car?

youll never get rid of that hatch shake or rattle. best you can do is simply deaden it a little bit.

you probably clipped your amp. try turning the gain down a little bit. if i were you i would get a $15 volt meter that shows your voltages when your playing your system to make sure your not dropping under 12 volts.
head unit wil make a big difference. even a shitty one. just make sure it has a seperate sub level so you can adjust your sub settings.
$200 system youll not need new speakers unless they are totally garbage and old. or the bass is overpowering.

my first system was a alpne v power monoblock amp 500 wats with 2 kicker comps. $250 sounded just fine

ok so after head unit what would be next upgrade?

Headunit, decent wire, battery(if you plan on getting 1000wrms+), speakers. Then sub/amp.

I learned over the years to just save your money and buy something worth while instead of always buying cheap stuff and upgrading, since you spend more money in the long run that way.

pioneer headunit, make sure to get preouts for sub front and rear for future upgrades.
pre out voltages 3 or more is ideal.

ofc 4 gauge up to 1500 watts , ofc zero gauge for 2000+ watts
small kinetic battery $250 range should be okay not sure what model but get a battery depending on wattage size. just remember anything over 1500 watts youll probably want to do a new, more powerful alt along with a big 3 upgrade.

and do so like said above dont buy cheap crap. youl find out the hard way that if you just saved a olittle bit , in the end it will be more worth it than buying new gear everytime you make and adjustmant

turned gain down, amp overheated again today. this time was only after about an hour... should I stop using until I figure out why it is overheating?
