Wow, never heard of a hifonics amp blowing up for no reason. I had a hifonics amp and it did me well. as a matter of fact its hooked up in my bedroom bumping my subs lol

fact remains they are cheap amps with limited long term reliability. do they give a lot of power for the money? sure, but they are not high quality amps by any means.

yours might of been fine but to use 1 amp from a completely different generation as proof they are overall fine is just flawed. they can be alright budget amps but thats about it.

and hands down for the price you will have a very hard time finding a better amp than a aq/sq.. without a doubt.. the put out over rated power.. can take a complete ass whoopin and still just get barely warm.. ive had lots of different amps and I assure you that hifonics is garbage..

Smd doesn't make amplifiers and sound cubed uses similar boards to sundown for a bit less. Hifonics hasn't been good for awhile.
