For the price/reliability of SKAR amplifiers you would have been better off with DC or Crescendo.

Getting everything from JP @ Down4sound.. he is a re-seller for Skar and he is giving me a pretty good deal considering all the shipping costs going into it.

I have heard good things about DC though I would have had no prob going with them

I need help... The shop im going to is insisting on an HU with 4v preouts which I agree on however the only regular HU they carry is an alpine that retails for $299 and for that much I would rather get a 7in touchscreen DD with 4v or higher preouts such as

Something else im looking @ Pioneer AVH-X5500BHS

I can get the Pioneer for $319 + tax free shipping... would that be a good choice or anyone have input on a good DD with high level preouts?

ya that alpine head unit is not worth the money at all lol.

the pioneer is fine. depending on what you are wanting it for you may look into this one http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_63978_Pioneer-AVH-X4500BT.html its a cheaper version if you don't want the added features of the 5500.

Very happy with the setup so far. Got the 10's wired down to 1ohm getting aprox 1000rms from the SKAR amp and they are just begging for power haha

Next step to finalize everything is a 200amp+ alt and Big 3 upgrade with at least 2 gauge wire to solve my voltage drop issues.

After that I might be tossing a SAZ1200 or maybe more to those 10's to really get them going
