you should be able to print out an invoice if you ordered it on amazon. chances are it was an authorized dealer like wooferetc that you purchased it from.

aside from that just make it exactly what broke and that it was at rated power. for the leads to do that is very strange..i mean they feel the need to brag about their lead design in their specs so for it to break for literally no good reason merits free repair to me.

Now that I think about it I do believe I bought them from wooferetc. But I tried logging in under my new, and old email and it didn't work. If I used my brothers... I'm shit out of luck. We dont talk anymore. FML. But Ill call them tomorrow to see anyway.

Solder onto direct leads looks very repairable, and jesus how long did you continue playing it like that, the cone started to shred away

Nothing was noticeable until it cut out once, then came back in a few minutes. Then just stopped.

Dont buy a new re-cone resolder that to a direct lead will be good as new, if your near northern IL i could solder it for you for free i do re-cones too. You could go to a speaker repair shop and im sure they could micro solder it there for you

As you can kinda see, the other side is kind of intertwined or brained, would it affect the sub if I just soldered it all in one piece?

Its woven for strength, i would just trim it accordingly twist and solder it directly to a piece of 8 gauge then find a place to secure it to the basket. If it was me i would do it to both leads on that coil.

Also most people actually prefer direct leads because of the + .01 ohms of resistance usually picked up from generic terminals which equates to a tiny bit more power

I talked to sundown today, they said it wasn't covered by warranty. I don't know if I should just solder it myself or send it in to get a reconing kit. 135$ for two kits professionally done by sundown.

try a solder repair first. even if you mess up it will all get replaced with the recone.

i've gotta say i'm disappointed in them for not covering this damage.
